To reach this site by car, take a left off the Weg Naar Bullenbaai and head to the nearby fishing village of Boka St. Michiel. If you like seafood, don’t miss out on the local restaurants offering fresh fish right off the boats. They’re happy to prepare it for you there, or you can throw it on ice and take it home for a barbecue. There’s also a dive shop here if you need an air-fill or rental gear. Continue past the Wedervoort Apartments; you’ll find the dive site just southeast of town off a small point overlooking Blauwbaai.
A rocky entry makes booties a must. When the weather is rough the waves pick up quickly, and we do not recommend attempting this as a shore dive. Weather permitting, you’ll find the drop-off about a five minute swim straight out from shore. The wall starts at a depth of 30 feet and falls below 120 feet. Both directions are good; just start against the current. The wall is healthy, with Brain Coral, Star Coral, Gorgonians, and Tube Sponges appearing in large numbers. You’ll see many schools of fish, including Creole Wrasse, Doctorfish, Butterflyfish, and Soldierfish.
